Great Friends

You're always there for me, you'd never let me down
A hug I know you'll give me if I'm wearing a frown
You always seem to have a way of making me smile
You believe in me, and make me go that extra mile.
I know I'll never find another friend like you
Nothing to ruin our friendship would I ever do
That's why I'm scared about what I'm trying to say
My words I'm sure will change things hopefully in a good way
I've known you for awhile and I've watched my feelings grow
I like you as more than a friend is what I want you toknow
Please tell me you feel the same way too
But if you don't I pray our friendship will continue
We're great friends but much more we could be
So what do you think, will you give it a shot with me?

OVER THE YEARS

These last four years that we've been through
So much has happened, we're long overdue
To go back and take a very good look
And flip through the pages of our old yearbooks

On that first big day: Freshman Registration
We found all our books, moving station to station
Feeling nervous, apprehensive, and so out of place
We met our new classmates, at last face to face

As underclassmen we were restricted as to
The places we went and the things we could do
But as we got older we found something new
We discovered ourselves and adopted fresh views

As upperclassmen we began driving to school
We received more privileges; we bent the rules
We did homework in groups and studied together
And slept through classes that dragged on forever

Our senior year began with college applications
Our favorite days in gym were bus evacuations
As a class we developed a unique Senior Style
Playing sports, joining clubs, and studying all thewhile

As mentors we helped the freshmen adjust
To a new lifestyle and gave them someone to trust
Now leaving them behind, we hope to stay in touch
Throughout a lifetime that will change so much

The time has come to go our own separate ways
As life stretches out before us like a maze
The future is out there, beyond our small scope
While the years to come shine brightly with hope

FRIENDSHIP IS LIKE A FLOWER

Friendship is like a flower,
glowing in it's glory,
each and every seed,
telling it's own story.

As each flower blooms,
and then continues to grow,
more of it's strength and knowledge,
continues to show.

And like a garden,
it blooms much more fair,
when carefully tended,
by those who care.

Once in a while,
you come across a friend,
who is beautiful as a flower,
with a good heart to lend.

So I picked this flower,
and pulled it apart,
and soon all its peices,
grew into my heart.

But what I realized,
is that this flower that grew,
was not leaves and petals,
but peices of you.

your love and kindness,
your strength and power,
has helped me grow,
into my own little flower.

And now with our friendship,
I'll never let go,
and we can help others,
to flower and grow.
